The Carneros Inn and the Orchard at the Carneros Inn

For those who love wine, are planning a wedding, and have been relatively unaffected by the recent changes in the economy, the Carneros Inn and the Orchard at the Carneros Inn have created the perfect wedding package. For $589,000 the 27-acre resort, located about an hour outside of San Francisco, is offering full use of the property for a wedding, shared ownership at one of the property’s 14 private homes, a shopping spree, and a honeymoon in Tuscany.

The wedding portion of the package, valued at approximately $250,000, includes full access to all of the resort’s 86 cottages and 14 private homes for two nights and three days, a pre-wedding cocktail party, a wedding ceremony in the property’s apple orchard, dinner and reception in the courtyards and/or ballrooms, and a post-nuptials group brunch at the resort’s signature restaurant, Farm. The resort can also help the bride and groom coordinate with wedding photographers, floral designers, and musicians, and further customizations can be made to incorporate spa treatments and pre-wedding workouts at the resort’s 2,800-square-foot fitness center.

Before leaving for their seven-night honeymoon in Tuscany at the resort’s sister property, Castello di Casole, the couple will be given a $1,000 shopping spree at the Carneros Inn’s PlumpJackSport boutique, where they can stock up on apparel and gear from Frye, Linea Pelle, Rossignol, and Solomon. Once in Tuscany, the newlyweds will stay in one of Castello di Casole’s 4,000- to 7,000-square-foot farmhouses with private, glass-tiled swimming pools, and they will receive four bottles of olive oil and a case of wine made from the resort’s groves and vineyards to help remember the occasion.

After the wedding, the couple can enjoy five weeks per year in one of the Orchard’s 1,700-square-foot fractionally owned cottages, which feature private outdoor Jacuzzis, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, and Frette linens and are normally priced at $300,000 for a one-tenth share.
